April 7th: Hands-on Sourdough Workshop
In this hands-on sourdough workshop, you’ll learn the essential techniques behind naturally leavened bread while getting a clear understanding of the sourdough process from starter to shaping. This class focuses on building confidence through touch, timing, and technique — perfect for beginners and home bakers who want a solid foundation.
During class, each participant will mix their own dough to take home and continue fermenting. You’ll also work with pre-fermented dough to learn proper shaping techniques and experience what fully developed dough should feel like. We’ll cover how to feed and maintain a healthy starter, how to read fermentation, and how to successfully bake your bread at home.
Each student will take home a sourdough starter kit (a $28 value) along with a detailed information packet that includes step-by-step instructions, recipes, and tips to help you confidently continue baking on your own.
